A New Coffee Hour

Stirring in flavor for the holidays.

When you serve guests coffee or tea this holiday season you may want to dress up the occasion with Minglirs. These flavor-coated stirring sticks release a shot of cinnamon, hazelnut, vanilla, peppermint, raspberry or caramel into your otherwise ordinary hot beverage.

The creator, Callisons Fine Foods, in Seattle, also has a line of grilling skewers, branded Seasoned Skewers, which are used to infuse flavor into grilled meat and vegetables. Using the same technology, Minglirs bring a flavor twist to liquids, and the company says you can even combine sticks to customize your desired flavor. For the holidays, it recommends a cinnamon and caramel stick in a cup of hot apple cider. Minglirs also work well in cold beverages. –Dennis Marrero
