food for change blog - 10-27-10
user ratingIn case you didn’t know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and 2010 marks its 25th anniversary. I first want to pay tribute to all the individuals who have worked so hard to keep this fight moving forward and offer my sincere condolences to those who have lost loved ones to the disease.
Support the fight against Breast Cancer
Below are two food companies that are hosting specialty promotions this month to support various breast cancer initiatives.
You can also show your support by donating to the following organizations:

Food Should Taste Good. The specialty chip company has changed the colors of its Multigrain, Olive and Sweet Potato chips bags to pink in support of the cause. Every time one of these pink bags is purchased, the company will donate five cents to a participating charity. The goal is to raise $75,000 and you can find out more at the Food Should Taste Good Facebook Page.
Caribou Coffee. Amy’s Blend, a coffee originally created to help the company’s former roastmaster, Amy Erickson, pay her medical bills, has been reintroduced to the market to honor her memory. Available at 22 grocery retailers in 40 states, Caribou Coffee will donate $1 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure for every bag sold. cariboucoffee.com.
