Crofters Foods Non-GMO Certified Jams & Spreads
The jam-maker bagged the third-party certification this fall.

As debates over genetically modified organisms heat up around the country, some producers are making a statement by getting GMO-free verified by the Non-GMO Project. Among them is Crofters Foods, whose line of sweet spreads is already USDA-certified organic. Crofters offers three lines of fruity spreads: Premium, sweetened with Rainforest Alliance–certified cane sugar (11 flavors, including Pomegranate, Morello Cherry and Mango), Superfruit (in four continent-themed flavors like South America, which uses maqui berries and passionfruit) and Just Fruit, whose only ingredient besides pure fruit is concentrated organic grape juice (seven flavors, such as Apricot, Black Currant and Wild Blueberry).—Eva Meszaros
