Culinary Collective - Zócalo Pussac Punay Andean Heritage Beans
2011 Silver Finalist: Outstanding New Product
user ratingIn Quechua, the native language of the Andes, Pussac Punay means the “sleeping eight”, for each pod contains eight beans. The beans are grown in the remote Huancalavilca region east of Lima, Peru, by an association of small farmers using organic cultivation practices. The farmers grow maize along with the beans, so the corn stalk becomes the beanpole. Zócalo Pussac Punay beans are free from preservatives, additives, GMO, trans fat, refined sugar and gluten.
