Eat Like a Top Chef
TV dinners go upmarket.
user ratingBravo TV is making it easier to act like a Top Chef at home by licensing a line of products that are used or seen on the popular cable television series. Schwan's Home Service, a home delivery food supplier, is pumping out frozen meals based on contestants’ dishes, including: Portobello and Button Mushroom Crème Soup with Walnuts, inspired by Elia Aboumrad from season two; Polenta with Braised Meatballs made by season six’s Kevin Gillespie; Roasted Mushroom and Parmesan Linguini with Grilled Chicken from Chris Jacobsen and Tre Wilcox, both from season three, and Prosciutto and Cheese Pizza by Frank Terzoli of season two. The entrees are priced between $9.99 and $11.99, and promise to be a huge step-up from the age-old frozen TV dinners.
It doesn’t stop there. You can complete the meal with Top Chef branded wines from Terlato Wines International, adorn the dining table with Top Chef-themed flower arrangements from Teleflora and hone your sous chef skills with Top Chef knives from Master Cutlery.—Denise Shoukas
