Foodie Mom: Get Cooking with Kids
A competition with great prizes, just for spending time with your little ones.
user ratingWe all know how I like to talk about getting Gianna into the kitchen. Well, recently we had the opportunity to meet other foodie parents who have teamed up with rice master Uncle Ben’s to get kids cooking and more involved in food prep in the kitchen.
To kick off the Uncle Ben's Brand Ben's Beginners Cooking Contest, a national culinary competition for families, celebrity mom Angie Harmon, mother of three, and kids’ cooking expert Cricket Azima hosted an interactive lunch with more than 30 second graders who prepped their own ingredients for a sweet and sticky rice salad while learning about the benefits of spending time together with their families in the kitchen.
If you are looking to expand your child’s interest in food, further along their budding culinary career or just spend more quality time with your family, grab your video camera, apron and recipe book, and enter the Ben’s Beginners Cooking Contest. Your rice-based dish could win you $20,000 cash and other prizes like a spot on the Rachael Ray Show.
Deadline to enter is February 26. So get cooking!—Nicole Denis
