In 1996, Phil Meldrum founded FoodMatch, Inc., inspired by a trip to the Mediterranean where he found the food to be delicious, but simple and close to its natural state. Dalmatia Fig Spread stands out as one of FoodMatch’s best sellers—a traditional Croatian recipe made from all-natural, hand-picked, sun-dried figs grown in the Mediterranean. It does not contain artificial preservatives, fats or sodium. The spread has a “rich, dense, fruit flavor with subtle notes of caramel,” explains Caldwell. “It can go with either sweet or savory.” This versatility allows the spread to be paired with a variety of cheeses, baked goods and charcuterie.

Dalmatia Fig Spread can be used at home to add excitement to everyday meals. Caldwell recommends spreading it on a grilled cheese sandwich or a pizza for an unexpected, but delicious taste.
