Candy Corn paired with a big California Chardonnay such as Newton Red Label Red Hots and a spicy tequila like Cazadores Reposado Caramels and Bulleit Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky Plus, for a signature pumpkin martini, pair Bols Pumpkin Smash Liqueur and Blackheart Spiced Rum. Check out what treats retailers from around the country say are going to be Halloween hits this year, from nostalgic candy to chocolate-covered bacon—plus the best spirits to pair with all that candy corn. You can also find some great sweets for those with allergies or food intolerances.

Terese McDonald at Candyality in Chicago says to look for bulk items like Mallow Cream Pumpkins and Gummy Candy Corn. She also notes that you can’t go wrong with old favorites like Wax Lips or ‘trick or prank’ varieties such as Hot Gum or Garlic Candy.
Cameron Goodrum of Big Top Candy in Austin, Texas says Jelly Belly’s Gummy Rats, bulk candy corn and the store’s homemade chocolate-covered bacon and Elvis Bark (peanut butter and jelly, bacon pieces and banana chips covered in chocolate) are popular Halloween gifts.
Dawn Van Hee of the Natural Candy Store in Concord, Calif., points out several organic, vegan, corn-, or gluten-free candies and lollipops. These include: Strawberry Hill Confectionery Organic Halloween Lollipops in Bat, Jack-o-Lantern, Ghost, and Brain shapes; Indie Candy Handmade, all-natural Jack-O-Lantern Gummis (Orange, Mango, Key Lime flavors); and Surf Sweets Sour Worms Singles (Tangerine, Triple Berry, Peppermint).
