Hot Fudge for Grilling
user ratingWhen you hear hot fudge, you’re probably thinking ice cream. But this cookout season, with heat and sweet all the rage, Herrell’s Chipotle Hot Fudge Sauce creates a smoky Mexican mole sauce to sass up your chicken on the grill.
Serves: 6
Ingredients:25 almonds
¼ cup mashed plantains or green bananas
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon salt
2 corn tortillas (torn into small pieces)
2 tablespoon sesame seeds (not toasted)
1 tablespoon pine nuts
2 cloves garlic
1 medium onion, diced
¼ cup tomato sauce
1 cup chicken broth
½ jar Herrell’s Chipotle Hot Fudge Sauce
1. Place all ingredients except ½ cup chicken broth and the Hot Fudge Sauce in a blender. Blend until smooth.
2. Pour blended sauce into saucepan. Add Hot Fudge Sauce and ½ cup of chicken broth. Heat and simmer over medium heat while stirring.
3. Serve over chicken. May be covered and chilled and reheated for later use.
