Honey Granola

Ingredients:

Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees

1 cup old-fashioned oats (not quick cooking)

20 almonds cut in half (optional)

1 tsp. salt

1 tbsp. crystallized ginger chips

1 tbsp. cinnamon

½ stick butter

½ cup honey

1 tbsp. brown sugar

¼ cup of unsweetened coconut flakes

¼ cup dried cranberries (optional)

Method:

  1. Toss oats, almonds, salt, ginger chips and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. In a small sauce pan, melt butter. Add honey to warm butter along with brown sugar.
  3. Pour over oat mixture and mix until well coated. Spread in a cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes on 200 degrees F. Mixing and rotating the pan every 20 minutes. Oats should appear golden brown. Turn oven off and sprinkle with coconut and dried cranberries.
