Inhale Your Vitamins
Sniff your way to health.
user ratingA company who previously made headlines for their breathable chocolate called "Le Whif", is now using the same technology to create inhalable vitamins flavored with tea leaves. A French research network called ArtScience Labs has created a version of Le Whif that delivers 100 percent% of the recommended daily intakes for vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, and B5—all in a compact lipstick-size container. With just eight puffs, you’ve got your RDA of vitamins. The tea leaves are added to the vitamins to make for a tasty experience. Le Whif offers three varieties: green tea with vitamins C and E; hibiscus tea with a multivitamin; and wine tea, which delivers vitamin D and 20 milligrams of resveratrol. A three-day supply retails at approximately $8.
There appears to be good reason to inhale your vitamins. ArtScience claims that because the vitamins are inhaled, they skip the digestive system and therefore are capable of delivering a more efficacious dose via the respiratory system.
As for other potential uses for the technology being discussed: Inhalable hamburgers and lobsters may be on the horizon.—Denise Shoukas
