Laughing Man Coffee
Support your caffeine habit while supporting those in need.
user ratingWhether your morning ritual starts with a cup of joe or you consider tea time a sacred event, why not get your fix with a bean or leaf that gives back big time? Hunky actor Hugh Jackman has launched Laughing Man Coffee, a purely charitable venture in which 100 percent of the profits from sales of fair-trade coffee, tea, chocolates and other goods goes to charities. Jackman’s inspiration came from a visit to Ethiopia, where he struck up a friendship with Dukale, a local coffee farmer. Today, Dukale’s Dream Espresso is the cornerstone of the business, and the new company’s motto is “All Be Happy.”
Laughing Man Worldwide strives to improve communities and the livelihood of people. The business incubates and supports companies and products that sync with its principles, creating jobs and supporting the entrepreneurial spirit and ingenuity that is essential to community health. The proceeds go to charities that focus on education. So far, Laughing Man has partnered with Harlem Village Academies in New York City, lauding the school for its efforts and providing some much-needed financial support.
