Rozendal Hibiscus VinegarBe the first to know what’s coming in new flavors and products, straight from this summer’s Fancy Food Show in New York where more than 2,400 producers gathered to showcase nearly 180,000 specialty foods and beverages.

Great Vinegars: High-quality flavored vinegars in innovative flavors such as hibiscus and lime will hit store shelves in a big way. Look for products such as Rozendal Hibiscus vinegar, this year’s sofi Award Winner for Outstanding New Product; Walnut Champagne Vinegar, (Sparrow Lane); Peach Balsamic Vinegar (Lucero Olive Oil); Lime Rice Vinegar (O Olive Oil) and Apple Ice Wine Vinegar (Les Produits Fins Fabrice Lafon).

Indian Products: We don’t mean your typical Indian food. Look for Indian flavors in unexpected creations such as Masala Marinara Pasta Sauce (Dave' s Gourmet); Tikki Masala Cheddar (Cabot Creamery) and Turmeric Tea (Ahmad Tea) as well as Tandoori Chicken Naanwich (Sukhi’s Gourmet Indian Foods); Curry Ketchup (Dulcet Cuisine) and Cashews & Cream Cooking Sauce (Stonehouse 27).

Grains, Nuts & Seeds: These will appear in sweet and savory items such as  Flax Seed Crackers (Mary's Gone Crackers); Oat and Corn Cakes (Effies Homemade); Pumpkin Palooza Nut Confections (Nutorious Nut Confections) and Baked Lentil Chips (Mediterranean Snack Food Company).

Squash, Pumpkin and Sweet Potato: These fall favorites are being showcased in everything from snacks to chocolate. Here are some products spotted at the Fancy Food Show: Sweet Potato Butter (Low Country Produce); Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce (Dave' s Gourmet); Sweet Potato Pie Chocolate (DeBrand Chocolatier); and Butternut Squash Tart (Goodwives).

Handcrafted, Local Heritage Foods: Producers are creating soups, pickles and sweet treats made with local ingredients in small batches. Some include: Linekin Bay Lobster Corn Chowder (Hancock Gourmet Lobster Co.) and Sticky Toffee Pudding (The Sticky Toffee Pudding Co).
