Man Bait

Maple and bacon in a lollipop—what else could a man possibly want? Luckily, that question isn’t within foodspring’s purview, but Das Lolli’s “Man Bait” lollipop is—along with its other lollipop flavors: Caramel Me Happy (salty caramel), Fab-O-Pom (orange & pomegranate), and Naughty Ginger (a ginger and tangy lemon confection with embedded bits of spicy ginger).

Das Foods’ founder, Katie Das, draws inspiration from her Ukrainian-American heritage, her Indian-born husband who’s fostered her love for exotic spice and flavors, and her travels through Europe and the Middle East. Yet, her company keeps it local, donating a portion of proceeds to the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and partnering with nonprofits. One of them, WomanCraft, Inc., supplies handmade recycled-office-paper totes for their Das Caramelini line of salted caramels.
