Muirhead of Ringos Apple Jack Mincemeat
It's not meat, but it goes great with pork chops (and all kinds of sweets).
user ratingJust in time for the holidays, Apple Jack Mincemeat is made with a base of apples and raisins and topped with New Jersey Apple Jack—a.k.a. Jersey lightning, a strong alcoholic beverage made from apples—for an intense flavor. Great for pies, cakes or cookies (the product contains no meat), it also serves as a tasty sauce for pork chops. You can even combine with oatmeal and flour, spices and chopped nuts to make mincemeat bars. Muirhead started as a fine-dining restaurant in 1974 and now produces a variety of specialty foods including fruit butters, mustards and cooking sauces.
