Obama-Inspired Food Products

The new President of the United States has inspired a nation, and now he's motivating the food world. Several producers have rolled out Obama-oriented products. Serendipitea has introduced OBAMA 44 ~ Inaugural Blend, which artfully combines his ancestry with black tea from Kenya, apple and cinnamon as a nod to the heartland and mango for Hawaii. Ice cream giant Ben & Jerry's is piling up scoops of its YES PECAN! An Inspirational Blend!, described as "Amber Waves of Buttery Ice Cream with Roasted Non-Partisan Pecans." And-even before the campaign heated up, Dave's Gourmet introduced its Dave's Gourmet President Barack Obama Hot Sauce Collectors Series, with faces such as Hillary Clinton and John McCain also appearing on the labels.

But what does the Obama family have in their own specialty food stash? Fran's Chocolates. The Obamas love Seattle's famed chocolatier's award-winning items. For the President it's the Smoked Sea Salt Caramels with Milk Chocolate, while Michelle opts for dark chocolate.
