Old Fashioned

In "honor" of the all-male Best Director nominations

A drink made in “honor” of the all-male Best Director nominations. Is it backlash for Kathryn Bigelow earning the category’s first-ever female win last year, or simple nostalgia for the “good old days”? Discuss with your fellow viewers over this drink.

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

2 ounces whisky
1 sugar cube
2 dashes Angostura (or orange) bitters
1 dash seltzer (optional)

Method:

Pour all the ingredients into an Old-fashioned glass (named for the drink, but a standard tumbler will do), over ice. Stir gently and serve.
