Pastor Chuck's Roasted Chicken

Here's a recipe that Waite Maclin, owner of Pastor Chuck's Orchards, suggests trying with a jar of Natural Apple Salsa.

Serves: 0

Ingredients:

Olive oil

5-pound roasting chicken, washed thoroughly with cold water One apple with skin, quartered

2 medium onions, halved

Other fruits such as lemons or oranges

1 16-ounce jar of Pastor Chuck's All Natural Apple Salsa

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil bottom of baking dish, preferably cast iron. Wash chicken thoroughly with cold water. Insert into cavity the apple, onions, and desired fruits. Smother chicken with 1 16-ounce jar of Pastor Chuck's All Natural Apple Salsa.

2. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1.5 hours. Remove foil and spoon back on chicken any salsa that sticks to foil. Continue baking until done.
