Now, picture all that happening in a vending machine in just three minutes. The “Let's Pizza” mini pizzeria (aka vending machine), uses infrared rays and other technology developed at the University of Bologna, to quickly create a custom pie. It offers four toppings—cheese and tomato, bacon, ham and fresh vegetables—all day for only 4 euros a slice. According to the developer, Claudio Torghele, trial runs of the machine in two regions of Italy were successful enough that he plans to launch the machines across Europe and in the U.S.—Denise Shoukas
