Among its 73 ice-cream and sorbet flavors are some savory twists—most notably saffron, black truffle, foie gras and even caviar ice cream, made with 60 percent white sturgeon Alverta Royal Petrossian caviar. All orders are shipped from France in high-tech packaging that prevents melting for 72 hours.
Phinizy & Phebe
Available in only two locations in New York City, it’s worth stopping by Marlow & Daughters (www.marlowanddaughters.com) or Brucie (www.brucienyc.com) in Brooklyn to try a scoop of Maple Bacon Pecan, made from roasted pecans, honey, sugar, cinnamon, maple syrup and bacon. Or try the newest flavor: Rico Pico, made of a jalapeño-infused pineapple compote mixed into a smooth ricotta ice-cream base. phinizyandphebe.com
