Anette’s Chocolate Factory
user ratingOutstanding Snack Food 2009: Triple Nut Kentucky Bourbon Brittle
For the past 18 years, Anette’s Chocolate Factory of Napa Valley has been creating specialty confections that are exceptional in both quality and taste. While Anette’s products are mostly chocolate-based, the company also has a line of brittles that are just as delectable. The Triple Nut Kentucky Bourbon Brittle is a crisp brittle made with three different nuts—almonds, pistachios and pecans—and a dash of smooth Kentucky Bourbon. The deep-roasted nuttiness and subtle vanilla flavors of the barrel-aged bourbon strike a remarkable balance, leaving the consumer wanting more.
Anette’s Chocolate Factory’s award-winning brittles are preservative-free and made in small batches by Anette and her brother, Brent. Other flavors include Microbrew Beer Brittle with Spanish Peanuts, Microbrew Firey Beer Brittle and Buttery Chardonnay Brittle.
Demonstrating the versatility of Anette’s products, the brittle goes well with salty snacks, such as chips and nuts, or confections to bring out its sweetness. It also makes a unique gift, especially those intended for men. Suggested retail price: $9.95/6-ounce package. anettes.com.–A. Menglide
