Britain’s new square watermelon: U.K. retailer Tesco has developed this easier-to-slice version by placing wooden boxes over the melons as they are growing so they develop into a square shape.

Japan’s hunger-fighting gum: Available in grapefruit soda flavor, Kracie Kobara Pitari Gum's active ingredient is konjac powder, which swells 200 times in the stomach to induce the feeling of fullness.

France’s foie gras ice cream: A new favorite for French foodies, Erhard Tendances Creatives ice cream appetizers come in unusual flavors, such as smoked salmon, foie gras and Champagne.
