Stylish Fruit & Nut Nibbles
user ratingExperienced party givers know that snacks are an indispensable part of any gathering. Bowls of tasty nibbles deflect pressure by staving off guests' hunger. Munchies that are tasty and intriguing can break the conversational ice. A combination of ingredients that is completely unexpected gets people talking about the surprising taste experience.
Some tempting nibbles marry dried fruits with nuts. The results can be even more seductive with a dash of spice or heat, such as a salty-sweet-spicy mixture of curried nuts and raisins.
Different textures and a variety of shapes and colors blended together adds eye appeal. Against yellow-hued curried nuts, dark raisins or any dried fruit like cherries or blueberries will stand out.
Alter these recipes to suit your own sense of taste. If pecans are not your favorite, use almonds or peanuts. If you have nut allergies-or suspect that guests might-sunflower seeds and corn nuts are appealing alternatives.
