A 3.3 pound white truffle, the largest found in decades, recently stirred international interest and launched a multi-country bidding war. The winner, a Macau casino owner, paid $330,000 for the fungus—all of which was donated to charity. The gigantic truffle was unearthed by a father and son team (and their trusty truffle dog Rocco), near Pisa in northern Italy. --Denise Shoukas
