I don’t know about you, but I’ll be getting up pre-dawn on April 29 to watch the royal wedding. If you’re averse to rising early but want to celebrate, be sure to have a fruitcake on hand for authenticity. Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton have selected Leicestershire-based cake designer Fiona Cairns to create their traditional English wedding cake—a multi-tiered fruit cake.

For your own soiree, check out Beatrice Bakery Company), home of the original Grandma’s Fruit & Nut Cake. Grandma's Heavenly Trio ($45.99; beatricebakery.com) will give you a sampling of some of the most popular fruitcake flavors, including Original Amaretto, Pineapple Macadamia Nut and Grandma's Classic Fruit & Nut cake. Beatrice Bakery also sells individually wrapped slices. “It was customary for single guests to take home a slice of the wedding fruitcake, place it under their bed pillows, and dream of the person they will marry,” explains Rebecca Brown, vice president of marketing and business development for Beatrice Bakery.

Another delicious keepsake is Walkers Shortbread Royal Wedding Limited Edition Tin ($20; walkersus.com), available starting April 20. This Limited Edition Tin is filled with an assortment of delicious Walkers Shortbread, and is adorned with a centerpiece photo of the happy couple, taken for their official engagement announcement, and images of the Westminster Abbey and Clarence House, which will be their new London home.

Count these treats as affordable fare for your royal couple gazing. Another goodie, the Pez Designs Royal Wedding Dispensers, two unique Pez dispensers resembling the prince and his fiancée, were auctioned off on ebay.co.uk for over $13,000 (by an American collector, no less).
