Culinary Collective - Zócalo Kañiwa Grain

2011 Silver Finalist: Outstanding Pasta, Rice or Grain
user rating
0.0 out of 5 stars(0)

The kañiwa (pronounced ka-nyi-wa) grain is grown in the Andes, where wheat, rye and corn are hard to come by. Similar to quinoa, it is a gluten-free protein powerhouse providing a balanced meal when paired with vegetables. Kañiwa has a crunchy texture and satisfying earthy flavor well-suited for fish, stir-fry and soup, or cold in salads.

MSRP: $10.42/pound. Also available in FS bulk sizes.
